These Terms incorporate by reference our Privacy Policy. By using the site, you agree to both. We may update either at any time; the updated version will control upon posting.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use this site. If you are under 18, you affirm you have parental or guardian consent. By submitting work, you confirm you have the legal right and capacity to enter into these Terms.
Changes to the Service
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the site or publication schedule at any time without notice.

(b) your submissions are original and you own all rights necessary to grant the license below;
(c) your content does not defame any person, violate privacy or publicity rights, or infringe any intellectual property or other rights;
(d) your content complies with applicable law.
Submissions (License; Editorial Rights)
By submitting work, you grant The Alexander Review a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to publish, display, archive, excerpt, and promote your work in any format (digital, print, social media, newsletters, anthologies, and promotional materials), including reasonable edits for style and length. You retain copyright at all times. We reserve the right to reject, edit, or remove submissions at our sole discretion without explanation. Submission does not guarantee acceptance or publication; editorial decisions are final and non-negotiable.
User Conduct
You agree not to post or submit content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, obscene, pornographic, exploitative, or otherwise objectionable, or that contains malware, spam, or attempts to interfere with site security or operations.
Intellectual Property
All site content (text, images, design, branding, and compilations) is owned by The Alexander Review or its licensors and protected by intellectual-property laws. Unauthorized reproduction, modification, or commercial use is prohibited.
Copyright Complaints (DMCA-Style Notice)
If you believe content on this site infringes your copyright, send a written notice including:
(1) your contact info;
(2) identification of the copyrighted work;
(3) the exact URL/location of the allegedly infringing material;
(4) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized;

Payments, Fees & Refunds
We may offer submission fees, donations, subscriptions, print purchases, or event tickets through third-party payment processors (e.g., Stripe, PayPal). We do not collect or store full payment card details; processing is subject to the processor’s terms and privacy policy. Unless expressly stated otherwise, all fees and purchases are final and non-refundable. Refunds may be issued only for (i) duplicate charges, (ii) proven fraud, or (iii) service error where the purchased item or access was not provided. Submission fees compensate for processing/review and are not contingent on acceptance. You agree to contact us to attempt resolution before initiating a chargeback; unjustified chargebacks may lead to account restrictions. Prices are listed in USD and may exclude taxes, duties, shipping, or currency fees, which you are responsible for. For physical goods, risk of loss passes to you upon delivery to the carrier; delivery dates are estimates and delays outside our control do not create liability.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Alexander Review and its editors, affiliates, and contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the site or services.
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless The Alexander Review, its editors, affiliates, and licensors from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your submissions, your use of the site, or your violation of these Terms.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Upon termination, provisions that by their nature should survive (e.g., Submissions license for published works, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, Governing Law) will survive.
Arbitration & Class-Action Waiver (U.S. Users)
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the site will be resolved by binding arbitration in King County, Washington, before a single arbitrator, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You and The Alexander Review waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class, consolidated, or representative action. You may bring claims in small-claims court in your county of residence or in King County, WA, if eligible.
Governing Law & Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Subject to the Arbitration clause, the exclusive venue for any permitted court action is the state or federal courts located in King County, Washington.
Severability; No Waiver; Assignment; Entire Agreement
If any provision is held invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver. We may assign these Terms; you may not assign without our consent. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and The Alexander Review.
